O'Neill FW20: The Original California Lifestyle
O’Neill was born under the golden California sun and in its cold waters, when Jack O’Neill invented the wetsuit in 1952 with a desire to surf for longer and protect mankind from the influence of the ocean. Shortly afterwards in the 70’s and 80’s, Jack set his sights on reinventing the face of snow sports too and making a big O’Neill shaped footprint in the white dust when he introduced neoprene to the slopes and modernized snowboarding. Fast forward to present day and surf & snow have become a life-style, not just a sport - influencing what we do, how we do it and what we wear
That’s why for Fall/Winter ‘20 we’re blazing forward with a collection that brings O’Neill’s California lifestyle to the snowy mountains and our rider developed, rider proven performance technology to the city streets.
O’Neill is, and always has been, the Original California Lifestyle brand. We have a strong and unique heritage that inspires us more than ever to challenge ourselves and create a modern, high-quality snow collection that blends the latest fashion trends with the newest technical innovations and our easy Californian attitude.
Even more exciting this season is the fact that we are continuing with O’Neill Blue: Our Ocean Mission and pledge to do our part in protecting our playground. Alongside O’Neill’s various sustainability efforts and beach clean-ups, the O’Neill Blue line is our way of developing innovation further across design, technology and production. Its strength and impact over the past seasons has led us to make sustainability our key concept. We are proud to share that 30% of our snow range and 70% of our lifestyle range consists of sustainable products. We have even created our most sustainable snow outfit to date, utilizing high quantities of recycled materials in all components, from the zipper right down to the trims!

But that’s not all. It comes naturally for us to try new things and give ourselves additional challenges. That’s why we have enlarged the collection with an on-trend lifestyle, Adventure and Athleisure range. Product categories that fit our brand and lifestyle perfectly.
After all, we’re creatures of the outdoors. Driven by sport but inspired by new experiences and a sense of mind & body. Born in California, but raised across the world. United by a shared sense of adventure, never ending search for the sun and pursuit of good vibes.

O’NEILL BLUE
When Jack O’Neill invented the wetsuit, he wanted to protect mankind from the ocean. But now it’s the ocean that needs our protection. That’s how our heritage sparked a sustainable movement. We call it O’Neill Blue. It’s our promise to the world: to protect our playground for generations to come. This season, our missions takes on a bold and bright outlook, with prints inspired by ocean organisms to give each item its own appeal. Oh, and how could we forget that the Fall/Winter ‘20 collection is our most sustainable to date? Every collection we aim to do better, and for Fall/Winter ‘20 our key look is our most sustainable product yet. The men’s snow jacket features a 100% recyclable and climate neutral membrane, fabric made with Bionic® yarn and trims made from ocean and marine waste.
TECHNOLOGIES:

O’NEILL X GORE-TEX FW20
We’re back with our most innovative and sustainable collection to date. Featuring Gore-Tex 2-layer products and O’Neill Gore-Tex Infinium for men and women made from recycled PES fabrics, this range is the optimum combination of breathability, durable weather protection and thermal protection. We utilize the most
sustainable materials Gore-Tex has to offer, with PFC free DWR coating (Durable Water Repellency) and recycled layers, we provide you with total wind proof protection in all garments whilst using only non-fluorine based materials. The only thing this rage won’t do, is clip on your snow boots for you.
O’NEILL FIREWALL MAGMA
Inspired by O’Neill’s 60-year history in wetsuit design, our body mapping research has shown us parts of the body that require more insulation. That’s why we use our O’Neill Firewall Magma in a huge part of the snow outerwear range in conjunction with 3m™ thinsulate™, Primaloft™or down to reduce weight, maintain warmth
and offer greater comfort on cold days. Design and innovation inspires everything we do. That’s why we strategically place our Firewall Magma lining at the back of your jacket, something that is not commonly done. What does this mean
you ask? On average, it keeps you 25% warmer than a normal lining so you still out riding for longer.
SUSTAINABILITY
When it comes to the preservation of our playground, we’re kind of obsessed
about shrinking our footprint. That’s why we incorporated the O’Neill Blue vision into almost every product category. For Fall/Winter ‘20, this means over 50% of all styles carry the O’Neill Blue Label. A Blue labelled garment is crafted with at least 30% sustainable fibers. Not only that, but all the O’Neill outerwear and swimwear in Europe is PFC FREE and 30% of our snow and 70% of our lifestyle collection is sustainable for Fall/Winter ‘20. Not bad we’d say, but something
we’re dedicated to continuing every year.
