O’Neill Blue: creating a wave of sustainability
O'Neill continues its sustainable mission this FW20 season, as they expand their O'Neill Blue line and undertake even more action in preserving their beloved playground, the ocean. O'Neill firmly believes in the power of nature to energize our souls, but that is only possible on a clean planet. That's why their sustainable journey is never finished. O'Neill keeps on trying to learn, collaborate, improve and share. All with the goal of actively and steadily reducing the environmental footprint they leave behind.
When it comes to the preservation of the ocean, their ultimate playground, O'Neill is dedicated to shrinking their footprint. That’s why they incorporated the O’Neill Blue vision into almost every product category. For Fall/Winter ‘20, this means over 50% of all styles carry the O’Neill Blue Label.
A Blue labelled garment is crafted with at least 30% sustainable fibers. Not only that, but all the O’Neill outerwear and swimwear in Europe is PFC FREE and 30% of the snow and 70% of the lifestyle collection is sustainable for Fall/Winter ‘20. A good start, but O'Neill is dedicated to keep expanding the O'Neill Blue collection every season.
This fall/winter, O'Neill has been able to create the most sustainable snow outfit to date, utilizing high quantities of recycled materials in all components, from the zipper right down to the trims. The men’s snow jacket features a 100% recyclable and climate neutral membrane, fabric made with Bionic® yarn and trims made from ocean and marine waste.
